Scheme

Silk Mill is the conversion from a mill to student accommodation in Galgate, Lancaster. It was the first steam generated mill in England and as such received grade II listed status.

Four Architects were appointed post planning approval and needed to complete a redesign of the scheme following an audit of the approval. This redesign resulted in a further 13 student units which we successfully secured approval for.

We worked closely with the design team and contractor to ensure the project was completed on programme, ready for students to move in.
